Have not read any of his books before, whilst interesting and controversial, I found the paragraphs are too long and too much sex. Nevertheless a good read! 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

This seems to be the Australian book of the moment. I read it last year and it is now on my favourites list. Much bad language and sex, but what a wonderfully honest portrait of Australian society today. We'll be reading it for our library book club next month, and I'm predicting a great discussion on, well ... many issues that concern us today! If you have a club that likes good, gritty discussions, I'd suggest you put it on your list. Do you find this valuable?
