Dianna Love and Sherrilyn Kenyon are collaborative writers with a plotter (Dianna)/pantser (Sherrilyn) approach to writing.
Bronwyn Parry was the convenor.

Discussion was mainly around how each of the authors came to writing - and in particular Dianna Love and Sherrilyn Kenyon came to be collaborative writers.

Dianna and Sherrilyn don't have any plan. They agreed that the story always came first.
And their comments to each other can be mean but they are happy with each other. They don’t think that anyone else works in the same way. They just care that the story happens. Despite having been previously published Sherrilyn was not making much money and was on welfare. She took a stamp from her husbands wallet and luckily was accepted for publishing. Dianna completed a writing course. She entered her book into a competition and started to win awards. She was published by Mills & Boon but then was told that she wrote too big and couldn’t get published. The general perception between the two authors is that Dianna tortures and Sherrilyn kills.

Luke was sick and tired of writing for Neighbours and just needed to give women a knife to kill people. He also likes to have a gratuitous murder by page 1 and a love scene by page 2. So he now writes about scheming wicked ladies from Roman times.

Sandy Curtis lives and writes about Mt. Gambier which is a very romantic place as well as a great place to murder someone.

All the authors were rejected by the category series because there was too much plot due to lots of murders.
